Father Michael, happy anniversary of your consecration! I remember how last year on Intercession after the liturgy you talked to the children in the church courtyard - very kindly and simply. I wish you health and strength for everything.

Отец Михаил, поздравляю Вас с днём хиротонии! У нас в Вятчино после службы всегда можно было подойти с вопросом, и Вы никогда не торопили. Крепости Вам в служении.

Father Michael, congratulations on ordination day! I remember how last year on Pokrov, after the services, you calmly explained to me how to properly place a candle for the health of the grandson. Health to you and patience in ministries.

Father Mikhail, congratulations on your consecration day! I remember how last year on Pokrov, after the service, you explained to my daughter why the candle was placed in front of the icon, and not just “much more beautiful.” I wish you health and strength in your ministry.

Thank you for sharing that, Anna — I remember Father Michael doing the same gentle explanation for my niece last autumn after the Liturgy. It’s exactly that kind of patient teaching that stays with the children. God grant him many years.

Thank you, Ekaterina, you set a good example. Father Mikhail is always like this - he explains things simply and to the point, without unnecessary words. And your daughter probably lights candles now with understanding?

Father Mikhail really knows how to do this - without unnecessary things, but to the point. My son, too, after his explanation about the candle in front of the icon, stopped putting it just “for beauty.” Ekaterina, is your daughter now telling you which icon is best to put in front of it?
