Conscript Day was held in Rogachevtranslated

Conscript Day was held at the A. Kaplan Children's Art School in the city of Rogachev. Representatives of the district authorities, military veterans and clergy came to support the young men before the upcoming service.

Archpriest Nikolai Stepanov, rector of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the agricultural town of Tikhinichi, addressed the future military personnel with pastoral parting words. He recalled the holy noble prince Alexander Nevsky, who combined the courage of a defender of the Fatherland with deep faith. The priest noted that the prince’s example helps to remember fidelity to duty, love for the Motherland and trust in God’s help.

Archpriest Nikolai wished the conscripts courage, strength of spirit and God's help, blessed them for service and sprinkled them with holy water.
