Memorial Day of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow, in the Donskoy Stavropegic Monasterytranslated

On October 9, 2026, on the day of remembrance of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow, Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna, Chairman of the Church-Public Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' for perpetuating the memory of the new martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', led the Divine Liturgy in The Great Cathedral of the Donskoy Stavropegic Monastery. Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Administration of the Moscow Patriarchate; Bishop Nikolai of Balashikha and Orekhovo-Zuevsky, editor-in-chief of the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate and the brethren of the monastery in holy orders. The liturgical chants were performed by the Donskoy Monastery choir under the direction of Pavel Muntyan. After the special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Rus'. The sermon on the sacramental verse was delivered by Hieromonk Philip (Nesedov).
At the end of the service, glorification was performed, after which Metropolitan Paul conveyed the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to everyone present in the church, and then addressed the archpastoral word.
