Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Day of National Unity at the State Social and Humanitarian Universitytranslated

On November 3, the dean of the 3rd Kolomna district, head of the sector for interaction with universities of the Kolomna diocese, priest Alexander Sirin, took part in a solemn event dedicated to the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Day of National Unity at the State Social and Humanitarian University. In his speech, Father Alexander congratulated everyone present on the holiday and gave the students a presentation in which he spoke about the sad events of the time of troubles in Rus', the history of the origin of the holiday and the deep meanings and lessons that a person living in the modern world needs to learn. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational Work of GSSU Dmitry Olegovich Shurygin. The university choir and the Prima vocal group added musical notes to the celebration.
