The Danube Delta will be promoted in Madrid through a photographic exhibitiontranslated

Delta Dunării va fi promovată la Madrid printr-o expoziție fotografică, organizată în perioada 14 iulie – 28 august, informează Institutul Cultural Român .

The event brings before the Spanish public 30 images by the photographer Dan Dinu, dedicated to one of the most valuable natural spaces of Romania. The exhibition was initially exhibited in Brașov, and the presentation in Madrid is the first international tour of the project.

Cele 30 de fotografii ilustrează peisajele, fauna și atmosfera Deltei Dunării, spațiu recunoscut de UNESCO ca Patrimoniu al Umanității.

In the opening of the event, the biologist Valentina Florea will give a presentation about the Danube Delta, addressing its importance, antiquity and biodiversity, followed by an interactive workshop for the public.

During the opening, the trailer of the documentary "Wild Delta" (2026), directed by Dan Dinu, designated the Most Popular Romanian Film at the 25th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival and awarded with the Vodafone Hearts' Award, will be presented.

It’s good that the Danube Delta is shown in Madrid. My brother in Brasov was at this exhibition last year and said that Dan Dinu’s photographs are very lively, especially those with birds at dawn. I wonder how many Spaniards will want to go there after this.

Sounds like a smart way to get more people curious about the Delta. My book club read a travel piece last year that mentioned those same misty bird photos at dawn — they do look alive. Wonder if the Madrid crowd will get the trailer for that 2026 documentary too.
