The delegation of the Tara diocese took part in a lecture on the prevention of destructive cultstranslated

On August 4, 2026, a lecture on the prevention of neo-paganism and destructive cults was held in the Assembly Hall of the Omsk Theological Seminary. The event was organized at the invitation of Metropolitan Dionysius of Omsk and Irtysh, head of the Omsk Metropolis.
The lecture for representatives of the clergy was given by the head of the Center for Apologetic Mission for the Siberian Federal District, Archpriest Alexander Novopashin.
With the blessing of Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk, a delegation from the Tara diocese took part in the event. The meeting participants were: the head of the missionary department of the Tara diocese, Archpriest Dimitry Grishin, the rector of the St. Nicholas Monastery, Abbot Seraphim (Maksimov), as well as the rector of the Ascension-Innocent Church of the city of Tara, Priest Vladimir Novikov.
Participation in such lectures allows the diocesan clergy to receive up-to-date information about modern religious threats and increase their level of competence in matters of missionary service and caring for the flock.
