The delegation of the Samara diocese took part in the forum of Orthodox youth “My Joy”translated

From July 28 to August 1, the VI Interregional Forum of Orthodox Youth “My Joy” was held in the village of Diveevo, Nizhny Novgorod Region. A delegation from the Samara diocese took part in the large-scale youth event. The forum, dedicated to the day of memory of St. Seraphim of Sarov, brought together more than 400 representatives of 56 dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church from 44 regions of Russia. Participants of church and secular youth associations, volunteers, students and leaders of diocesan youth departments came to Diveevo. The event was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese and the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church. The central theme of the forum was the place of youth in the society and cultural space of the Russian World. Participants discussed issues of patriotism, self-realization, volunteerism, creativity, morality and spiritual life. Representatives of the Samara diocese visited educational and discussion platforms dedicated to the development of the volunteer movement, modern media, youth projects, family values, creativity and patriotic service.
