Saint Sava's feast always falls right in the middle of summer here in Melbourne, so we usually have a few families from the Serbian parish over for a barbecue after the liturgy. The bit about him being "father of the Serbian Church" makes sense – he basically set up the whole structure that kept things going for centuries. Does anyone know if there's a good English book on his life that's not too heavy?
