The children of Mostar are planting for the future: a new forest is sprouting above the Old Churchtranslated

About 600 saplings of black pine and fir were planted today above the Old Orthodox Church and the Orthodox cemetery in Mostar, as part of the large reforestation campaign "Pine in BiH".
Numerous volunteers, students and representatives of organizations and institutions joined forces to help restore nature in the areas affected by the fires. The action was given special value by the participation of children and young people, who learned through planting how important forests are and how each of us can contribute to their preservation.
The partner in the organization was the Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Mostar. Elder of the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Fr. Duško Kojić, pointed out that it is especially important for the Church that, along with the restoration of the destroyed buildings in Mostar, it also participates in the restoration of its nature.
Thank you to everyone who donated their time and effort today for a more beautiful and greener city. Each planted seedling carries the hope that future generations will enjoy the shade of the new forest here.
