Children from a center in Arad painted icons on glass together with ASCOR volunteerstranslated

A number of 23 children from the Crisis and Reception Center for Minors in Arad painted icons on glass with ASCOR Arad volunteers on Monday.

The program combined educational and social-philanthropic activities dedicated to the Mother of God, including catechesis, workshops and games.

In the first part of the meeting, the volunteers spoke to the children about the Blessed Virgin Mary, highlighting virtues such as kindness, obedience and love and her role in the lives of Christians.

The activity continued with a painting workshop as well as thread bracelet making and outdoor games.

The action is part of the collaboration between ASCOR Arad and the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Arad, which started a year ago. Several meetings with vulnerable children were organized within this partnership.

Through the activities carried out, the volunteers aim to offer the young participants moments of learning, socialization and participation in cultural and religious activities.
