Bacău County Council will support the restoration of the Casin Monastery Ensembletranslated

The Bacău County Council will support the restoration of the old church and bell tower of the Cașin Monastery Ensemble by co-financing some expenses related to the project, the total value of which exceeds 15 million lei.

The decision was adopted in the meeting of August 27, being allocated from the county budget the sum of over 900,000 lei. Father Vlad Roșu explained, in a post on social networks, that the efforts to attract funds began after his arrival in the parish, in November 2025.

The church and the bell tower are part of the National Program for the consolidation of buildings with high seismic risk, carried out by the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration.

The support approved by the Bacău County Council will cover part of the ineligible expenses, especially those related to the documentation required for the interventions.

Proceedings to obtain financing In March of this year, the technical expertise and the energy audit necessary for the funding request were started, and after several requests for clarifications from the ministry, the project was included in the Order of the Ministry of Development no. 75 of July 2, 2026.…
