Pastoral conference: Patriarch Daniel spoke about the vocation of the mother and that of the father in the formation of childrentranslated

"The mother has a special contribution in the formation of the child, and the father is called to be receptive, active and responsible. Raising children is a joint work", said His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel on Monday, at the end of the first day of the Pastoral-Missionary Conference of the priests of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.

"The sacrificial love of the mother for the children must be accompanied by the support of the husband and the community, so that she does not bear the burden of these worries alone," His Beatitude continued.

The Romanian Patriarch's speech touched upon both the theme of the Year of Homage to Christian Family Pastoralism and the Year of Commemoration of the Holy Women of the Calendar (martyrs, martyrs, pious women, wives and mothers).
