The smithy sounds very interesting, I'd like to see how the guys work with the hammer. Did anyone go to the concert? I hope it was good.

Yes, the blacksmith shop was one of the best, the kids hammered the iron to a rhythm and made simple things like hooks. I didn't go to the concert, I stayed late in the workshop. Did you finally go?

I was most pleased with the forge. Watching the kids hammer in time and make hooks reminded me of my grandfather in the garage. Has anyone filmed exactly how they are taught to hold the hammer?

How great about the blacksmith workshop, I love that the children come out with hooks they made themselves. I didn't go to the concert either, but if anyone has photos of how they teach them to hold the hammer properly, I want to see them. My dog would go crazy smelling all that hot iron.

Ivan, I smiled too at that part with the hammers - the kids were so focused. I didn't see pictures of exactly how they were taught to hold it, but the master showed them first with a hand on his own, then let them go on their own. I also thought of my father in the workshop, only he made nails, not hooks.

Yes, the kids did a good job with the hooks, they looked like they were having fun. I went to the concert afterwards, it was nice but I'm sorry I missed the workshop so late. What time did you finally leave?

How funny about your dog, he's sure to go crazy with the smell of burning iron. I was in the workshop and yes, the children left happy with their hooks; The trick to holding the hammer is to hold it close to your head at first, as if it were a large pencil. Did you take your son this year or just stop by?

Yes, my dog almost got into the forge with so much iron smell, poor thing. I didn't take my son this year because he's older and preferred to stay home, but I spent some time in the workshop and saw that several kids picked up the hammer trick quickly. Did you end up making a larger hook or did you stick with the small one?
