The community of Milișăuți, Suceava county, honored on Wednesday the Great Martyr Procopius, the protector of the city, appointed by the Holy Voivode Stephen the Great 545 years ago.

The events dedicated to the saint began on Tuesday evening at Milișauti Royal Monastery, where the vigil service in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Procopius was officiated by Archimandrite Justinian Săvescu, eparchial secretary.

On the day of the celebration, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated at the parish church in Milișăuți by the Most Reverend Father Damaschin Dorneanul, the Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuţi.
