The Community of St. M. McGeorge's Cathedral in Windsor, Ontario, celebrated its 108th anniversarytranslated

The Romanian community of the "St. George and St. Andrei Șaguna" Cathedral in Windsor, Canada, celebrated on Sunday the 108th anniversary of the foundation of the parish.
The anniversary was marked by the celebration of the Holy Liturgy, during which prayers of thanks were raised to God for all the favors, gifts and blessings showered over time on the community.
At the same time, a memorial service was held for the founding members of the parish and for the founders of the place of worship.
"Looking with gratitude at the past, with joy at the present and with hope for the future, we reverently remember our forefathers, who kept alive the flame of the Orthodox faith and the Romanian identity far from the motherland", said the proto-Singhel Corneliu Andrașco, the parish priest of the community.
"Their sacrifice and steadfastness call us to continue, in our turn, this blessed work, transmitting to future generations the treasure of faith, the beauty of traditions and love for the Church," added the parish priest.
The event ended with an agape, as is the tradition at such anniversaries.
