Church of Greece: Metropolitan of Messinia appointed spokesman of Standing Holy Synod
Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Messinia has been appointed spokesman of the Standing Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.
The appointment comes as the Standing Holy Synod convened on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for its first meeting of the 170th Synodal Period, which runs from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027.
The members of the Standing Holy Synod met to consider the items included on the agenda.
