Church of Greece: Christodoulos Kotsyfis and Kallinikos Nikolaou elected Auxiliary Bishops of Neochorion and Asterion

The Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece has elected two new Auxiliary Bishops.
Specifically, Archimandrite Christodoulos Kotsyfis, until now Bishop-elect of Asterion, was elected Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, with the title of Bishop of Neochorion.
At the same time, the Hierarchy elected Archimandrite Kallinikos Nikolaou Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Metropolis of Kaisariani, Vyronas and Ymittos, with the title of Bishop of Asterion.
It is recalled that Christodoulos Kotsyfis had been Bishop-elect of Asterion, a title now taken by Kallinikos Nikolaou following the decision of the Hierarchy.
The two elections form part of the proceedings of the Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, with the two new Auxiliary Bishops set to assume their new ecclesiastical duties once the prescribed procedure has been completed.
