The miraculous Albazin Icon of the Mother of God arrived at the Srednebelsky Monasterytranslated

With the blessing of Archbishop Lukian of Blagoveshchensk and Tyndinsk, on August 11, the miraculous Albazin Icon of the Mother of God “The Word became Flesh” arrived from Blagoveshchensk to the Srednebelsky Diocesan Convent of the Albazin Icon of the Mother of God.

The shrine was delivered by the dean of the Svobodnensky church district, Archpriest Valery Syrtsov. At the walls of the monastery, the miraculous image was met by the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Daniel (Myasnikova), along with the sisters and parishioners.

According to established tradition, the Albazin Icon stays in the Srednebelsky Monastery during the Dormition Lent. This year the shrine will remain in the monastery until August 28, the Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During this time, the monastery sisters, parishioners and pilgrims will be able to pray in front of the miraculous image and venerate one of the main shrines of the Amur land.
