“So that the temple can be seen from afar”: Metropolitan Longin consecrated a new dome for the temple in Tsilnatranslated

July 16, 2026 · 1 min read

On July 16, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky performed the rite of consecration of the cross and dome of the church in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity r.p. Tsilna. Concelebrating with His Eminence were the dean of the Tsilninsky district, Priest Vladimir Manyakov, the rector of the church, Priest John Lazberg, and the deacon John Kosyakov.

During the consecration ceremony, parishioners of the temple and village residents were present. Bishop Longin thanked everyone gathered for their prayer.

The rector of the Trinity parish, Priest John Lazberg, spoke about the work being carried out in the church:

— The crosses and domes, which were welded from galvanized metal back in the 1990s, have already become dilapidated. Replacing them was the dream of many of our parishioners. The temple is the center of the spiritual life of any settlement, and we decorate it so that the temple can be seen from afar. To God we must always bring and sacrifice our best. I thank all the benefactors - caring entrepreneurs and farmers in our area who helped a lot in this good cause. Work is currently underway to construct the temple fence, which will be installed soon.

The temple in honor of the Holy Trinity in the working-class village of Tsilna was built in 1991 by local residents. Help in the construction…
