Chelyabinsk saints: a feat of strong faith and couragetranslated

The Southern Urals have their own heavenly patrons - saints, whose life and service are connected with our region. They all suffered for their faith during the years of persecution of the Church. The Feast of the Synaxis of Saints of the Chelyabinsk Metropolis was established in 2020 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. The day of celebration is associated with the memory of the holy martyr Peter of Krutitsky. He was shot on October 10, so the Council is celebrated on the nearest Sunday after this date, and if October 10 falls on a Sunday, on the day of remembrance itself.
