An hour of spirituality and a meeting with a priesttranslated

October 27, Church of the Holy Martyrs Minodora, Metrodora and Nymphodora g.p. Ushachi celebrates the 10th anniversary of its consecration, which took place in 2016. It is symbolic that on this day in the church there was a meeting between students of grade 5 “B” of the State Educational Institution “Ushachi Secondary School” with the dean of the Ushachi church district and the rector of the church, Priest Alexander Talerenok.

First, the children were given a tour of the church: Father Alexander told who the saints were; showed how to venerate the icon correctly; brought those who wanted to the choir. Everyone had the opportunity to walk around the church, look at the icons, and pray. Then the fifth graders spoke with the priest in Sunday School.

Father answered the questions prepared in advance by the children: who is God; what happens after death; what is sin and how to deal with it; what to do if they offend you - the guys answered these and other questions together with the priest. In memory of the meeting, all participants were presented with anniversary cards.

In conclusion, Father Alexander told the children about the veneration Cross, the clergy who suffered during the persecution, whose names are immortalized on memorial tablets.

The meeting ended with a joint photo as a souvenir.
