Researchers from the country and abroad will debate the new discoveries about medieval art in Romaniatranslated

Researchers from the country and abroad will debate in Bucharest the latest discoveries and results of studies dedicated to medieval and premodern art in Romania.

The meeting will take place on Thursday and Friday during the annual session of scientific communications organized by the "George Oprescu" Art History Institute of the Romanian Academy.

The event will take place in a hybrid format, in the Royal Drawing Room of the National Art Museum of Romania, a partner of the cultural institution's activities.

Recent research The program brings together art and medieval historians, architects, restorers, archaeologists and theologians and is structured into eight thematic sessions.

Among the participants are archim. Policarp Chițulescu, director of the Library of the Holy Synod in Bucharest, mother Atanasia Văetiși, doctor in art history and museographer at the Stavropoleos Monastery, and Octavian Gordon, teaching staff of the "Justinian Patriarch" Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest.
