Hoping the visit brings some real talk on protecting the unborn and the elderly. The “diplomacy of encounter” sounds nice, but Europe’s been drifting from basic respect for life for years now. Will be watching to see if that gets mentioned in Paris or at UNESCO.

I agree with Emily that protecting the unborn and elderly needs to be front and centre. The “diplomacy of encounter” is all well and good, but without clear words on life it risks staying just talk. Hoping the Paris stop and the UNESCO bit actually name the problem instead of skating round it.
