The pilgrimage to St. Parascheva, one of the largest in the region, will begin on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in Iasi, the Press Office of the Archdiocese of Iasi announces.

This year, alongside the relics of St. Cuv. Parascheva will also be able to honor those of St. Cuv. Paisie from Sihăstria, who had a crucial spiritual role during the period of state atheism established by the communist regime in Romania.

Liturgical manifestations The pilgrimage will begin at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Iași at 06:00 in the morning, with the Akathist of St. Parascheva and the removal of the relics in the canopy arranged near the holy place.

On October 14, 2026, the feast day of Saint Pious Parascheva, the Holy Liturgy will be celebrated, from 09:00, on a podium located on the border with the Stephen the Great and Saint Pedestrian, next to the Altar of the Metropolitan Cathedral.
