The football championship of Protoieria Moinești brought together over 150 young peopletranslated

The football championship "Cup of Saint Andrew the Apostle" brought together over 150 young people from 12 parishes of the Moinești Diocese.

The competition, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday, was part of the "Cultural-Spiritual Days" 2026 and enjoyed the presence of referee Alexandru Tudor.

The guest shared some words of encouragement with the youth, stressing that no famous player has made it without hard work, respect and gratitude to God.

The matches were played at the Moinești Sports Base provided by the local administration.

The finalist of the championship was Dărmănești Parish, followed by "St. Gheorghe" and "St. Nicholas" Parishes from Moinești.

The Archdiocese of Moinești conducts during this period the "Cultural-Spiritual Days", a series of events that includes pilgrimages, processions, artistic, cultural and sports activities.

Congratulations to the boys, especially those from Dărmănești who won the cup. I liked what referee Tudor said about work and gratitude to God, it's a true thing. It's good that the Archdiocese also organizes such competitions, it keeps young people close to the church.
