Teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Theology in Craiova, on a study and pilgrimage visit to Egypttranslated

With the blessing of His Eminence Father Dr. Irineu, the Archbishop of Craiova and the Metropolitan of Oltenia, the students of the field of visual arts, bachelor's and master's degree from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Craiova, accompanied by the teaching staff of the Univ. Dr. Alexandrina Bădescu, University Associate. Dr. Adriana Gabriela Mardale and Assoc. skilled dr. George Păunescu, participated, between October 19-25, 2026, in a study and pilgrimage visit to Egypt. The trip was organized by the "St. Nicodim" Pilgrimage Center of the Metropolis of Oltenia, offering participants the opportunity to discover places of great importance for the history of Christianity, monastic spirituality and the artistic and cultural heritage of Egyptian civilization.

The pilgrimage program began with a visit to the archaeological complex of Giza, where the students had the opportunity to admire the famous pyramids and the Great Sphinx, representative monuments of the art and architecture of ancient Egypt.
