The Girdle of the Mother of God from the Kato Xenia Monastery in Greece was brought to the "Saint Pantelimon" Church on Monday, located in the courtyard of the Pitesti County Emergency Hospital.

The delegation that accompanied the casket was met by clerics from the municipality and numerous believers, who worshiped the honorable girdle.

The representatives of the Archdiocese of Argeș and Muscel said in a post on their Facebook page that the event "has a special meaning for patients, for their families, for medical staff and for all those who seek, in prayer, peace and hope".

For his part, Adrian Dumbravă, the manager of the Pitesti County Emergency Hospital, highlighted the significance of bringing the Venerable Bra of the Mother of God to the place of worship within the premises of the medical unit: "It is a moment that makes us happy and emotional."

After the end of the liturgical program on Tuesday, the reliquary will return to the Kato Xenia Monastery in Greece.
