Divine Liturgy in the Resurrection-German Church of Ul'yanovsktranslated

On September 26, in commemoration of the consecration (renovation) of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Jerusalem (The Living Voice of the Resurrection), the feast before the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, Metropolitan of Simbirsk and Novospassky Longin celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Resurrection-German Church of Ul'yanovsk.

His Eminence was assisted by the church keyar, protopriest Ilia Kuznetsov; the deputy dean of the 2nd Simbirsky City District, igumen George (Karpov); protopriest Sergiy Pliekhov; igumen Seraphim (Lyakhov); priest Alexei Volkov; head of the protocol service of the Simbirsk eparchial administration, priest Valeriy Statrovsky; priest Boris Kokorev; deacon Ioann Kosyakov; deacon Grigory Shevchenko; and deacon Alexei Bychkov.

After the Liturgy, a procession was conducted.

In recognition of their efforts for the benefit of the Simbirsk Metropolitanate of the Russian Orthodox Church and in honor of the feast day of the Resurrection of the Lord in the city of Simbirsk, regent of the festive and amateur choirs Y.A. Shevchenko received a medal of the Second Degree of Venerable Martyr Catherine of Simbirsk.
