Divine Liturgy for the 11th Sunday after Pentecosttranslated

The Divine Liturgy on August 16, 2026, the 11th Sunday after Pentecost, was celebrated by His Eminence Stephen, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Uborok.
His Eminence was co-served by the rector of the parish, Hieromonk Alexander (Prigara) and the clergy of the diocese.
During the service, intense prayer requests for the restoration of peace were offered.
Today during the service, an excerpt from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 18:23-35) was read, telling about the parable of the Lord Jesus Christ about the king who set out to restore order in his accounts with his debtors. One of them found himself in debt to the ruler for ten thousand talents, but was unable to pay. Then, begging for leniency, he received forgiveness of the debt. However, upon leaving, he refused to forgive the smaller debt to his comrade. When the king found out about this, he became angry and handed him over to the torturers until he paid off the entire debt. The Lord concludes this parable with the words: “So will My heavenly Father also do to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from his heart his sins” (Matthew 18:35). This gospel story reveals to us the depths of spiritual responsibility...
