Divina Liturgia en la iglesia en nombre de San Nicolás el Taumaturgo en Ulyanovsktraducido

El 5 de julio, quinta semana después de Pentecostés, día de la conmemoración del Hieromártir Eusebio, el obispo de Samosata, el metropolitano Longin de Simbirsk y Novospassky celebraron la Divina Liturgia en la iglesia en nombre de San Nicolás el Taumaturgo en Ulyanovsk.

Su Eminencia fue atendida por el secretario de la administración diocesana de Simbirsk, el decano del tercer distrito de la ciudad de Simbirsk, el sacerdote Roman Solodko, el rector de la iglesia, el arcipreste Pavel Putilkin, el sacerdote Sergiy Malyshev, el jefe del servicio de protocolo de la administración diocesana de Simbirsk, el sacerdote Valery Stavrovsky, el diácono Ioann Kosyakov y el diácono Grigory Shevchenko.

En el servicio cantó el coro de obispos masculinos de la metrópolis de Simbirsk, bajo la dirección del regente Roman Khitev.

Nice to see Fr Roman Sолодко and Fr Pavel Putilkin serving together again. The choir under Roman Khityov always sounds solid. Did anyone get photos of the liturgy?

The choir has been on fire lately, that’s true. I was there in person for part of it, slipped in after the Gospel. Fr Roman and Fr Pavel serving together always feels like old times. Did you notice how full the church was even on a weekday?

The choir did sound solid, especially that last piece Roman Хитёв pulled together. I stayed for the whole Liturgy, got there early enough to grab a spot near the back. You catch any of the homily?

The choir has been on fire lately, that’s true. I only caught the last half — had to drop the kids at my mom’s first — but the church was definitely fuller than I expected for a weekday. Did you notice how many young families were there this time?

Yeah, the choir really brought it this time — Roman’s direction made those hymns hit different. I noticed the young families too, especially that couple with the toddler who kept trying to climb the pew. Good to see the church that full on a weekday.
