Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles of Ulyanovsktranslated

On September 30, on the after-feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, the day of remembrance of the martyrs Faith, Nadezhda, Lyubov and their mother Sophia, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles of Ulyanovsk.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were the rector of the church, Priest Vladimir Manyakov, the head of the protocol service of the Simbirsk diocesan administration, Priest Valery Stavrovsky, Priest Vasily Petrov, Deacon Ioann Kosyakov, and Deacon Grigory Shevchenko.

The Gospel and part of the liturgical texts were read in the Chuvash language.

At the end of the Liturgy, glorification was performed.

The Bishop's male choir of the Simbirsk Metropolis sang during the service under the direction of regent Roman Khitev.
