On September 20, during the sixteenth week after Pentecost, before the Exaltation of the Cross, the pre-feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the commemoration of the martyr Soson, Archbishop Lagon of Simbirsk and Novospassky celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church dedicated to the Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God "Joy to All Who Grieve" in the parish of Karson.

Archbishop Lagon was served by the district dean of Karson, priest Theodor Troitsky, protopriest Gennadii Bobrov, the protocol director of the Simbirsk eparchial administration, priest Valerii Stavrovsky, deacon Ioann Kosyakov, and deacon Grigorii Shevchenko.

The Divine Liturgy was sung by the Archepiscopal Male Choir of the Simbirsk Metropolitanate under the direction of regent Roman Khtevo.
