Divine Liturgy on the day of remembrance of the Venerable Martyr Seraphim of Zhirovichitranslated

On September 6, the Orthodox Church commemorates the venerable martyr Seraphim of Zhirovichi (Shakhmutya), an ascetic who remained faithful to Christ during the years of the most difficult trials. His life became an example of selfless pastoral service, courage and unshakable faith.
On September 6, 2026, on the day of remembrance of the Venerable Martyr Seraphim of Zhirovichi, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of All Saints in the village of Pirevichi.
His Eminence was co-served by the dean of the Zhlobin district, Archpriest Alexey Smotritsky, the rector of the parish, Priest Vasily Tereshkov, and the clergy of the diocese.
During the service, Abbess Ioanna (Yarets) prayed with the sisters of the Assumption Convent in the village of Kazimirovo.
During the Liturgy, intense prayer requests for the restoration of peace were offered.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Stephen performed a prayer service for the preservation of God’s creation.
