On this day, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in Gomel, where construction of a church is underway in honor of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco and Hieromartyr John, Bishop of Rylsk.

His Eminence was served by the secretary of the Gomel diocese, Archpriest Georgy Alampiev, the dean of the monasteries of the Gomel diocese, Abbot Theodorit (Zolotarev), the rector of the parish, Archpriest Vadim Kochan, and the clergy of the diocese.
