The Boriso-Gleb Church in the village of Kurtnikovo was visited by cadets of the Fyodor Ushakov Maritime Clubtranslated

July 6, 2026 · 1 min read

On June 5, the Boriso-Gleb Church in the village of Kurtnikovo was visited by cadets of the Fyodor Ushakov Naval Club together with their confessor, priest Alexander Lavrukhin, cleric of the Church of the Holy Blessed Tsarevich Demetrius at the First City Hospital in Moscow. The cadets arrived at the church after undergoing boat training at the summer camp of the Russian Maritime Tradition Club association on the shore of the Istra Reservoir. The cadets confessed and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the rector of the Boriso-Gleb Church, Archpriest Dimitry Shmelev, held a conversation with the cadets about the types of sailing and rowing vessels of the Navy and expressed hope for future meetings.

It's good that after the shlyupochnyh gatherings on Istra, the guys immediately went to the church to confess and partake. Interestingly, what exactly are the types of sailing-rowing boats told by father Dimitriy — about Petra's boots or something more? I hope the cadets will come back.

It’s good that after the training camp in Istra the guys went straight to church and didn’t go home. I wonder if Father Dimitri was talking about Peter’s boats or about frigates with brigs? We will wait for them again, our place is quiet, just for such meetings.

It’s good that after the Istra camp they immediately came to us. Father Dimitri just started with Peter’s boots, and then moved on to the frigates, the guys listened attentively. I wonder if your son is involved in this club?

Unfortunately, these cadets were able to take part in the task at hand. Борисо-Глебский и причастились. Others Dimitriy Molodets, who was named after Petrovsky bots, and also про фрегаты рассказал — ребята наверняка запомнили. Елена, my сын в морской секции при храме ходит, not in this club Ушакова пока не записался, может, тоже заинтересуется.

Yes, it’s good that we stopped by right after training camp - the guys were still impressed by the water. Father Dimitri is great, he started with Peter’s boots, it’s always catchy. My eldest has been attending the club for three years now, but this time he was not at the training camp. Is your son there?

I'm glad that after the gathering in Istra, the guys immediately came to us and participated. Father Dimitriy started well with Peter's boots, it's always interesting. And your son, Elena, was also at the boat gathering this year?

I'm glad that they went straight to the church after those boat services on the Istrina waterworks and also confessed and received. Father Dimitrij started with Peter's boots and moved on to frigates - that's a good way to get them interested. Michal, our elder, went to a similar club for two years, but now he swims with us on vacation.

Yes, after training in Istra, it’s time to go to the church while everything is fresh in your head. Father Dimitri got off to a really good start with Peter's boots, the guys listened attentively. And my son was just at the training camp this year, helping with the oars, and now he’s sleeping at home. What club class is your eldest in now?
