A prayer service for the harvest was held at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Rogachevtranslated

On September 19, 2026, the holiday of the workers of the village “Dazhynki” began in the Cathedral of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky in the city of Rogachev with a thanksgiving prayer. Participants in the service prayerfully thanked God for the harvest and prayed for the successful completion of the harvesting work.
The service was performed by the rector of the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel in the agricultural town of Tikhinichi, Archpriest Nikolai Stepanov.
Representatives of the district executive committee, heads of agricultural enterprises and honorary farmers took part in the service.
In his pastoral message, Archpriest Nikolai Stepanov spoke about gratitude to God, which should accompany a person not only on holidays, but also in everyday life. He noted that the fruits of labor make it possible to share bread with others, help those in need and preserve family traditions, instilling in children respect for the land and work.
