On September 5, 2026, first-year students of the Novocherkassk Higher Military Command Red Banner School of Communications named after Marshal of the Soviet Union V.D. Sokolovsky, who completed the course of initial military training, solemnly took the Military Oath of Allegiance to the Russian Federation.
The revived school officially resumed work. On September 1, freshmen started classes. On the same day, in the Indoor Courtyard of the South Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI) named after M. I. Platov, a ceremony was held to present the Battle Banner to the newly formed school.
In accordance with the traditions of the Russian army, before the ceremony of taking the Military Oath, the rite of consecration of the school’s battle flag was performed.
