The dean of the Gomel city district congratulated the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Security Departmenttranslated

On July 24, Archpriest Igor Olshanov, dean of the churches of the Gomel city district of the Gomel diocese, took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the Fire Service Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 60th anniversary of the Central Department of the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gomel.

A celebration was held in Rescuers' Square dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the founding of the Belarusian fire service. It brought together employees of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gomel city and district emergency departments, representatives of educational institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, service veterans, young rescuers, residents and guests of the regional center.

As part of the celebration, a ceremony was held to take the oath and oath of acceptance of the Code of Honor by employees who entered service in emergency agencies and units. Archpriest Igor Olshanov addressed the young employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with parting words and blessed them to serve the people of Belarus.

The celebration continued with a concert program, interactive educational platforms and an exhibition of rare fire equipment of the 19th and 20th centuries.
