Bishop Twal is right that justice and peace for the Palestinians has to come first, or the whole region stays stuck. Living in Amman he sees the day-to-day coexistence up close, which most of us only read about. Makes you wonder what small, practical steps ordinary people on both sides could actually take.

I agree with Bishop Twal that real justice for the Palestinians has to be part of any lasting peace. Living in Amman like he does, he probably sees the same families crossing back and forth for work or church events that Sarah mentioned. Makes me think of the old card games we play at the parish hall – you can’t win if one side keeps getting shortchanged on the deal.

Yeah, Bishop Twal's point about justice for Palestinians hits hard when you hear it from someone actually living in Amman like he does. Small steps could be things like more joint community projects between Jordanians and Palestinians that my mate from church youth group saw when he visited there last year. What do you reckon those everyday moves might look like on the ground?
