Bishop of Tamisos celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Ukrainian Community of St Andrew

On the Sunday before the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-giving Cross, Bishop Panaretos of Tamisos celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Ukrainian Community of the Church of St Andrew. Fr Jeremiah Yurchenko concelebrated with His Grace, while a large number of faithful prayerfully participated in the Holy Eucharist.
In his sermon, His Grace spoke about the love of God revealed in the Cross of Christ, which becomes a source of consolation and hope amid trials and human suffering, placing particular emphasis on the significance of the Precious Cross in the life of every Christian and on the need to remain steadfast in our faith and hope in Christ.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace conveyed to the children and families of the Ukrainian Community the paternal wishes and blessing of His All-Holiness our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the new school year, wishing all pupils good progress, health and every blessing from God.
