Bishop Elpidios of Perth visits Hellenic Aged Care for Feast of the Dormition
Bishop Elpidios of Perth visited the Hellenic Aged Care facility in Dianella, Perth, on Wednesday, August 19, as part of celebrations for the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos.
The Bishop prayerfully attended the Matins service and Divine Liturgy celebrated at the aged care facility, which belongs to the Hellenic Community of Western Australia and provides accommodation and care for a number of elderly Greek and Orthodox residents.
The elderly faithful participated in the Divine Liturgy with devotion and reverence and had the blessing of receiving Holy Communion.
Following the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Elpidios blessed the residents of the facility and offered his wishes to them on the occasion of the great Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.
