Bishop Andrei Makes a Pastoral Visit to St. Joseph the Merciful Romanian Orthodox Parish in the Montreal Area, Canada

MONTREAL, QC – July 26, 2026 – With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, on Sunday, July 26, 2026, the 8th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland made a pastoral visit to St. Joseph the Merciful, Metropolitan of Moldavia Romanian Orthodox Parish in Sainte-Catherine, Quebec, in the greater Montreal area.

Upon his arrival, His Grace brought with him a fragment of the holy relics of St. Olga of Alaska from the Diocesan Center at Vatra Românească. The faithful gathered for the Divine Liturgy were given the opportunity to venerate the holy relics, receiving the blessing of one of North America’s newest saints.

His Grace participated in the Holy and Divine Liturgy, which was officiated by the parish priest, V. Rev. Fr. Valerian Badan. During the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Andrei delivered the homily on the Gospel reading of the day (Matthew 14:14–22), recounting the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand.
