I was in Marmarosh a couple of years ago, and these wooden churches in Surdeshti and Ploshor are simply mesmerizing - so old, but they stand like new, and everything inside is hand-carved. It’s good that communities take care of them and don’t just rely on tourists. Does Mocănița still run on the same schedule as before?

Yes, in Surdeshti and Ploshor it is really impressive how everything is made by hand and at the same time so well preserved. My wife and I also went there last year after fishing on Visheu and were amazed at how much the locals cherish them. And Mocănița is running now, but the schedule has changed a little, it’s better to find out in advance at the ticket office so as not to wait an hour at the station.
