On Monday, the Most Reverend Father Lucian highlighted the diligence of the members of the "St. Dimitrie" Parish in the Cazarmii neighborhood, Caransebeș, on the occasion of the celebration of the patron saint.

"We have capable and hard-working priests here, who love their faithful flock entrusted to their care, but we also have believers who are sensitive to the needs and problems of the church. If last year the Eucharistic community in this parish was busy with the completion of interior and exterior works, this year they focused on the arrangement and beautification of the church yard, especially since we also have a school in the immediate vicinity", emphasized Bishop Lucian of Caransebês.

The hierarch recalled that the religious class is often held in the parish's place of worship, during which the teachers present the iconographic and architectural elements of the church to the students.

"We thank God for everything and we ask the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius to protect this parish, but also the fortress of Caransebes, as he has been protecting the fortress of Thessaloniki for over 1,700 years."
