The Church of Sapienza in the Capital has prepared a canopy for the reliquary with the relics of Saint Constantine Sârbutranslated

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Sapienței in the Capital has prepared an oak canopy for the reliquary with the relics of the Holy Priest Martyr Constantin Sârbu. The installation of the new piece of church furniture took place on Tuesday.

It stands out for its wealth of wood-carved details and its monumental appearance. The central element is the large arch, decorated with plant motifs, ornamental shapes and the sign of the cross, alongside the two side columns, massive and richly ornamented.

According to a post on the Facebook page of the Bucharest place of worship, the creation of the piece of church furniture is a way of honoring the holy martyr.

"If in the past Saint Constantine Sârbu knew the beds of suffering, today the Church honorably places his holy relics on the oak tree".

The Holy Martyr Constantin Sârbu was canonized by the Romanian Orthodox Church in 2024 along with 15 other confessors and clergymen from the 20th century.
