The completed church of a parish from Pitesti was placed under the protection of St. Neagoe Basarabtranslated

His Holiness Father Calinic, Archbishop of Argeș and Muscel, consecrated the church of Prundu III Parish in Pitesti on Sunday. On this occasion, the holy place received another patron: St. Voivode Neagoe Basarab.

After the Holy Liturgy, Father Archbishop also officiated a memorial service for Father Cătălin Zahiu, who passed to the Lord in 2025, as well as for all the founders and benefactors who passed on to eternal life.

The same distinction was awarded posthumously to father Cătălin Zahiu, being received by his son.
