"The Church is above all what is not seen. It is the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the world and in the life of every faithful man," recalled Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Varlaam Ploieșteanul on Sunday, at the Antim Monastery in the Capital.
The hierarch spoke about this in the context in which, in the Gospel fragment read at the service, after the miracle of walking on water and calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee by Christ, the disciples confessed that He is the Son of God.
"Between this declaration of the disciples that their Teacher, Jesus, is the Son of God and the symbolic meaning of the ship - that of representing the Church of Christ, which takes the people of God from the turbulent sea of this world to the peaceful harbor of the Kingdom of Heaven - there is a close connection", emphasized His Eminence.
