With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol

On July 5, the 5th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the city of Belgorod.

Concelebrating with the bishop was the rector of the church, Priest Nikolai Mikhaltsov, the rector of the Church of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Belgorod, Archpriest Alexey Luporev, the rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross in Belgorod, Archpriest John Borchuk, the cleric of the Sergius Church, Archpriest Vladislav Berdnikov, and the cleric of the Church of the Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, To the love and their mother Sofia of the city of Belgorod, priest Alexander Fokin.

After reading the Holy Gospel, Metropolitan John addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word dedicated to the parable of the sower. The Bishop noted that the language of parables helps a person understand the deep truths that the Lord reveals about God and about man himself. “And when we hear the parables of the Lord, we must understand that each parable, in addition to its images, also has answers to questions that worry people so much,” said the archpastor.

Δέσποινα ΧατζήΕυχαριστούμε για το κείμενο. Μου άρεσε που ο μητροπολίτης Ιωάννης είπε ότι οι παραβολές δίνουν απαντήσεις σε όσα μας απασχολούν πραγματικά. Η παραβολή του σπορέα πάντα με κάνει να σκέφτομαι τι είδους χώμα είναι η δική μου ψυχή κάθε φορά.
