The Food Bank of Moldova donated 3.5 tons of cherries to the communities of the Diocese of Southern Bessarabiatranslated

The Food Bank of Moldova recently donated 3.5 tons of fresh cherries to the communities of the Diocese of Southern Bessarabia.

The fruits reached 13 parishes in Cahul, Cantemir and Leova districts of the Republic of Moldova.

The fruits were taken by the priests and given to families and elderly people in the communities they shepherd, this action bringing joy and blessing to many homes.

The Most Reverend Father Veniamin, the Bishop of South Bessarabia, addresses sincere thanks to the Food Bank of Moldova, to all benefactors and clergy involved in this work, the Press Office of the Diocese of South Bessarabia transmits.

The Moldovan Food Bank prevents food waste through redistribution: 583 tons of food products were thus saved in the period 2021-2026, reaching vulnerable communities in Bessarabia.
