Prikhody.ru 09/15/2026. A mobile chapel was consecrated on the territory of the temporary deployment point of a group of marines, located on the canonical territory of the Donetsk diocese. The rite of consecration on September 14, 2024, the day of the celebration of the August Icon of the Mother of God, was performed by the chairman of the diocesan department for interaction with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, Archpriest Andrei Manych.

According to the public Donetsk Orthodox, the mobile chapel was built on the initiative of the command and the servicemen themselves. Now the Marines have the opportunity at any time, without interruption from combat missions, to offer prayers, participate in the Sacraments of Confession and Communion, and also receive pastoral care.
